Eeveepaw slowly opened her eyes as the morning sun shone in through a small opening in the bracken ceiling of the apprentice den. She sat up and yawned, stretching her short legs and giving herself a quick grooming. She had just been Apprenticed and she was so excited to start her training. She emerged from the den and looked around the clearing for her mentor.

Ghostwhisper stepped out of the Warriors den, stretching as she walked. She noticed Eeveepaw looking for her and signalled to the fresh-kill pile, indicating that she was going to get something to eat first. She picked out a small vole and took it over to where Eeveepaw was waiting for her. Ghostwhisper set it down and offered her some. "You want some?" she asked, pushing it towards the younger she-cat.

Eevee perked up as she saw her mentor. She smiled and bounded over. She was very anxious to start her training and this was her first day as a true apprentice. Her paws were itching to see the land beyond the camp. She gladly accepted the prey and devoured it swiftly. "When are we getting started?!" She asked enthusiastically.

Ghostwhisper bit back a chuckle. "As soon as I get something to eat." she said teasingly. She walked back over to the fresh-kill pile and picked up a small mouse. She practically inhaled it, finishing it in two bites. She walked back over to Eeveepaw, still chewing. "Do you want to practice hunting or fighting techniques?" she asked, licking off the bits of mouse from her muzzle.

Eevee smiled as the older cat wished her luck. She watched as her mentor ate and tried to wait patiently. "I'd like to practise hunting." She said happily, bounding towards the gorse tunnel. This would be her first training ever and she was so excited!

Ghostwhisper smiled and followed after the young apprentice. "Where would you like to go? The marshes or the shadow forest?" Ghostwhisper asked, choosing the two easiest hunting spots for Eeveepaw's first hunting lesson.
