In Short
{A small, pretty calico she-cat with deep green eyes and a funny smile.}
The Longer Bit
{Picture a soft, white curtain of the purest, truest silk. Okay, you're getting closer. Now cover a cat with it. Then paint the back with a beautiful golden color, slightly but just faintly tinted red. Don't forget to paint the tail, face, and ears, along with the rear legs half-way. There you go. Then make the eyes. They are a deep, faded green like an old pine tree's needle. My fur is a beautiful calico white with a 'blanket' of brown and black on my back, partway down my legs, on my tail, and a 'mask' of my face. I also have a unique black spot on the side of my nose, but I don't mind. I think it's pretty cute.}
I'm Different
{I am thin and very well toned to say the least of it. My long legs are coated with short, but not too short, and silky hairs tat are calico half-way down and white the rest of the way. They are sturdy and strong, with smooth, lean muscles to add on top of it all.
My feet are small, and well-rounded. They are like fluffy, soft white cotton-balls. My claws are the same as any cat's, being that clearish grey-white color, sharpened regularly. I like to make sure my claws are kept sharpened as they, along with my teeth, are the strongest fighting and hunting points of a cat's body.
My silky fur just accents my fine tail. It is slender, with a tendency to flow back and forth smoothly, like a soft breeze or a ripple on the waves. It is a keen tool for balance, and mine is not only great for stalking and such. It is also great for showing my emotional side, and is along with my beautiful face the strongest source of body language for me.
Speaking of my face, mine has a mysterious child like essence that is hard to ignore. It is shaped like a teardrop flipped upside-down, and is small and delicate on my dainty body.
On my face are two things you can't miss. First, my ears like moons. Yep, they're that big. Unfortunately I was born with very large ears, but it does help in some ways. One is partly black, partly brown, the other only golden-brown. The second thing, or things, you can't miss happen to be my eyes. But you'll hear about those in a minute. Just keep reading!}
My Regal Gaze
{What do you think when you hear pine green? Deep, faded green eyes? Well, that's what I've got. They are a portal to my soul, Stonefur says. And what a portal they are! Like big green leaves, but with a different mood. Dark and mysterious, drawing any and all in. Almost emerald in a funny sense. A dark emerald gem, faded away into a dark abyss of mystery, shrouded in a mist of beauty. They're pretty cool, and my highlight. Their beautiful color, depth, and sense of wonder are amazing!
My eyes are not just great to look at. As I previously stated, my face is one of my emotional strong points. Not just because I am very expressive, like I am emotional, though. My eyes are an emotional pool of wonder. Their soft nature can be varied. When I am upset, they shimmer with a defeated look. When I am angry, they glow with a fierce passion. When love-stricken, they twinkle like stars. When I'm happy, which I usually am, they sparkle and glitter like gems. They are always easy to read, and one of my most beautiful points.}
Personality: The Basics
{I'm a sweety pie. Not a trouble maker. Not crude. I'm happy and joyful and bubbly and full of light and life! Not being attracted to my warm nature would be unusual, and I just love friends. All the merrier for me! It makes me feel like the world could never be a brighter world than it is now. And I wish to keep it that way, because a happy, peaceful world is a world you want to live in. Fighting, death, blood, that's not the life for a cat. But don't get me wrong, I'm not a kittypet either. I like the wild, but I hate the killing. The fighting and the deaths and all.
But that doesn't mean I'm all sunshine and butterflies and a big ball of joy. No, I have my weak points. Flaws I'm not proud of. I tend to get a little snappy, but there are only a select few who can get under my fur. My dad did, but he's gone. So far only my sister can annoy me out of my fur. But that's okay, because we're best buddies. I love her to death and I don't care. Who wouldn't love their sister?}

HistoryThe Day I Came
{Most cats say their birth was perfect, right? No. Cats seem to praise their childhood, but not their birth. Mine was perfect. Well, it started out on a rainy day. The thick, smoggy clouds made it impossible to see. My mother was walking alone in the woods, smiling and enjoying the day. I guess we came early. She wasn't prepared. Because she was alone in the middle of nowhere, high in the mountains. Without my dad. You see, my dad was very protective over her.
Well, my dad said that she had been gone a while ad he got worried. So all up he went and into the woods, following her scent trail as best he could against the rain. He heard a shrill cry and followed it, finding her dead with one kit next to her. Now he remembered distinctly she telling him there were three kits.
You see, they were ex-kittypets who had dreamed of a life of freedom. Well, he did one thing I couldn't have done. He... well, skipping all the gross details, and to put it bluntly, he cut her open. Yup. Me and my younger brother. He managed to save me. My brother Shade, was already dead. He buried my ma and Shade under her favorite tree, a nice place in the woods.
As far as births go, I don't think that classifies as 'picture perfect'. But hey, at least I'm alive. And that's all that counts.}
The Tale
{Okay, so I've already told you about my...... interesting, birth. Well, my life could be a sob story. Sure. But I think crying over spilled milk is pathetic. My life's been great, so don't go feeling bad for me. Sure, I lost everything but my sister - who is almost lost in darkness - but I'm okay.
Great. Look at me now. Sounding like an idiot. I'm sorry, I just don't care for pity. Well, let me try this again. My life has been a wonderful time. From the day of my, err, birth to the day of today. All sunny rays? No. But mostly happy skies.
Well, after I was born I was pretty glad to be alive. My father and I had a special bond from the start. Though he strived to be Stonepaw's best friend, as he obviously liked her over himself, she refused and pushed us all away. She's like that. But inside she yearns for love, I know she does. She just can't believe she killed ma and Shade. And almost me.
Well, I was trained by my dad to be a hunter at a young age. I had a knack for it, he said. My sister was a born fighter, but she couldn't quite harness her rage properly to use it with her skill. She nearly clawed my ears off once. And then she got my nose, but it healed up okay.
Well, back to the story. So my life was pretty good. Hunting with my dad. Sleeping under the stars in a mountainous woodland. Who could ask for a better life? Certainly I couldn't. I mean, of all the lives to live, you couldn't want a better way to bond. My father loved me most, which only made Stonepaw more jealous. But it was her own fault she wouldn't love him back. He couldn't help it. I didn't actually like her, either. I wish I had. Maybe I could've made things better.
Sorry, I'm ranting again. Well, back to our great tale, eh? Anyway. So my father and I bonded like none other. My sister pushed herself away. By this time, I was about five moons old. And I was still tiny as could be.
Well, when we hit our six moon mark - my sis and I - she vanished. We searched moons for her but still she was unsighted. My father feared the worst, and it was only then that I learned of the deep, secret relationship they had had. The night before, they had sat gazing at the stars all night, tails twined, the perfect father-daughter pair. She had actually smiled and leaned up against him. She'd been happy to be his daughter. Then he fell asleep, and when he woke up she was gone.
Well, that marked the end of training with dad. All he did was look for his favorite daughter, and I was ultimately forgotten. So I decided to make my way in the world. I got up and left him in the night. He probably still hasn't noticed.
Well, I traveled for a half-moon and then I found my sister. She had run off like me, hoping to find a better place. What my dad hadn't told me was the fight they had gotten into. Oh well.
Well, this meant that Stone and I became traveling buddies. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention my name was Fish at this point. Yeah, silly I know. Who names their kit Fish? Well, we traveled for up until our seventh moon of age. Then we heard about the Clans from some traveling cats.
We decided to make our way to the Clans, and only a quarter-moon ago did we actually get here. I told them my name was Calico, so my sister and I became Calicopaw and Stonepaw. My mentor's name was Coralsnake, and she was really helpful and nice. She was always around to help me, too. But I hated being a warrior, and something about it was wrong to me.
Then I found the Medicine Cat. Her name was Fallenwind, and she was my miracle worker. Every time I trained I looked for a thorn to get stuck in my pad so that I could talk to her. And when she died I was stunned into disbelief. Her cold, cruel and surprising death was a complete mystery even today. She just vanished and was never seen or heard from again.
The Clan was too stunned to think. Our Medicine Cat was dead and there was no apprentice to take her place. That was when I finally realized what I was destined to do. At eight moons old, I went to RiverClan and trained with the Medicine Cat there. Soon enough I was worthy of returning to serve my Clan.
When I was old enough to get my name, I was mesmerized. It was the greatest day of my life and I'll never forget it. They named me Calicopelt for my soft, silky fur that resembled several pelts smudged together. Now I returned to my home and became a star, and ever since me and my sister Stonefur have lived a happy life in FernClan.}
What Does The Future Hold?
{As far as futures go, I'd love to know what's in store for the glorious me? Well, maybe not glorious. But don't we all get a little, you know, curious? Don't we all have a longing to know what lies in store for us? I know I certainly do.
Well, it's normal to be more than just curious. But only an insane cat would actually attempt to learn their future. There's no way to find out through 'psychic cats' or 'mystical signs' your future. It just doesn't work that way. But if it did, we'd all be lined up to see our signs in life. Why? I don't know. But I am curious, and I think we all are.
Well, I'm hoping that there are several events in my future. One, I'd love to learn what happened to my father. Unlikely? Yes. Impossible? No. Maybe, one day. I don't know. Also, I'd love to find a mate. Someone like my dad, but very compatible. A cat who loves me for me. You know, that perfect match? Well, I know he's out there. I just can't wait to find him. Because when I do, I'll just know, and then he'll know, too.}
IC: [[This is from an old site which, alas, died. I loved the Medicine Cat den to death so I haven't changed it yet. :3]]
The day was young and fresh as the sun peeped its friendly head over the green mountains that sparkled like Greenleaf emeralds. It was similar, this sunrise, to a bright-eyed red-breasted bird peering over the green leaves in its soft nest of twigs and leaves. It was a day unlike other days and made a cat grateful to be alive, as it did to a familiar calico she-cat wit a silly smile. Her soft eyes twinkled with diamond-like grace as she gazed out at the familiar land she called home. But she brought with her three things that she had never dreamed of bringing home to her beautiful place in FernClan.
The first thing Calicopelt had brought back with her was a name. Not like she'd actually left without a name to call her own. She'd been Calicopaw when she left, with no formal Medicine Cat training and only a knowledge of beginner's hunting and fighting. Both she'd dismissed and hated, still so unsure of her place at the time. Then she'd found her perfect place in the Clan and felt amazing doing it. So she'd come home with a name, that was a Medicine Cat's name, and it was Calicopelt.
The second thing that the calico Medicine Cat had brought home and to FernClan was knowledge. Not just the knowledge of how to walk or talk, but a knowledge of great importance. It was a knowledge of the flowers, of the herbs that could make or break a cat. The herbs of the forest and their uses to a perfect point. Also, how to heal a cat's broken bones, cuts, bruises, and aches or pains of all. It was knowledge few had, but the best part was the knowledge of StarClan.
Being able to understand all of StarClan's mysteries was one of the many perks that a Medicine Cat had and could enjoy. But it was a very large responsibility, and it was one that few cats were entrusted with. As a healer for FernClan, Calicopelt felt a huge responsibility being able to do such incredible things. It made her feel appreciated and special, knowing that she along with a select few would be receiving prophecies and signs from the ancient cats of the stars above. It was a truly awing experience for any cat to have.
Calicopelt slipped into the familiar camp she had left all those moons ago. She hadn't been here since she was eight moons, but not a lot had changed. A few kits scuffled in a corner of the camp, warriors added and subtracted prey from the freshkill pile, and elders sunned themselves after a long day of rest as they let their old bones absorb the warmth of the afternoon. Nothing seemed to have changed, and it made Calicopelt's heart soar. But at fourteen moons, the beautiful Medicine Cat knew a lot of things had changed since her departure.
She was first spotted as the two accompanying warriors who had escorted her out left, and by a very familiar figure. That hard-to-forget white pelt with grey streaks like tiny stones padding up to her, blue eyes twinkling with a newfound joy. It was Stonefur. Calicopelt had learned about her sister's new name at a Gathering and had been overjoyed at the thought of seeing her after six moons of intense training had passed. She smiled her old, goofy smile and the two sisters nuzzled each other in a friendly greeting, twining tails and finding a warm spot in the camp to sit.
The misty camp was not far from one of the many FernClan rivers, and it echoed softly in the distance as Calicopelt spun her tales of the adventures she had experienced in the RiverClan territory. It made many cats gasp as she told of mysterious prophecies, hard-core training and the impossible quizzes, and even a near-death experience when she almost mistook one poisonous berry for a safe one. But everyone congratulated her and quickly showed her to her new den as she finished, which made her smile an even bigger, goofier grin.
The den was nestled in the farthest reaches of the camp in a small clearing. A tunnel of stone, not unlike the thorny thicket that was the entrance to the camp, led back into a secret clearing. It was inside the mountain, and was dark and damp. The clearing was roughly half the size of the camp's main clearing, and it was a brilliant site. The wet walls shimmered and gleamed, making Calicopelt's heart stop altogether.
There were several rooms off of this clearing. On the wall to the left of the clearing were many crags, carved by the paws of an ancient Medicine Cat to store herbs. It was sadly empty, and contained a few herbs that hadn't been picked off when they caused a foul scent. Before exploring anything else, Calicopelt sorted the herbs and made a pile of useless ones. Nothing was left that was good after she had finished, and she sighed at the thought of collecting a whole new stockpile. She decided to go exploring before she would finish her work, and she would search through her new den before exploring the land she hadn't seen in so long.
Calicopelt turned to look at her new den some more. Across the large clearing in the rock were three alcoves, which looked like rooms without a front wall. They were basically a scoop out of the rock where cats could rest, but lacked some privacy. The old moss lining them would need cleaning out, and Calicopelt reminded herself to ask some apprentices to help with it later. She then went from the three alcoves on the side of the clearing opposite the medicine shelves to a spot next to the medicine shelves. It was a large, private den with a small entrance that she figured was her den. Next to it was a shallow, tiny alcove for an apprentice to stay in.
Then she noticed a small tunnel next to the Medicine Apprentice's den and smiled to herself. The Pool. The Pool was a pool of crystal blue water that was in the Medicine Den that was used for signs or to collect water for the ill. This fabled water was supposed to have healing properties to help the sick, and it was special to FernClan. Calicopelt crawled through the tunnel leading to the Pool and found herself in a small room with a space taken up mostly by a small pool of water receiving a steady drip from the ceiling. She noticed a rock in the center of the Pool, and sighed softly. Unlike the grey rock surrounding and filling the Medicine Den and clearing, this rock was pure white and had a seashell mark on the center. Calicopelt went and sat on the white rock, thinking for what seemed like ages before finally deciding to get to work. She slipped out and began to gather the moss. When she had made a large pile or bad herbs and moss bedding, she marched out of her den carrying the garbage. She would take and dump it at the farthest spot she could find. She was very grateful to see Stonefur come and offer to help, and she accepted the help from her sister. The two were silent, carrying rotten herbs, as they padded together out of the camp and into the world beyond. Calicopelt felt completely at peace, and knew where she truly belonged.
