The Clans seem to have adjusted well to their new names and their newer, reformed lives. However, when a mysterious group of cats shows up claiming to be from the mountains around the Clans, there is trouble. These mysterious cats with strange markings and distorted pelts do not only bring a strange sense of awe, but everywhere they go good luck is befalling the Clans. Prey drops dead right before warriors. Herbs magically grow in a night - even if it isn't their season. But the Clans are beginning to grow troubled. This good fortune cannot last forever, and when it runs out what will happen to the Clans?

A group of cats has come to visit the clans. They claim they are from the mountains around Idlewild, but is that true? And why are their coats so strange? Why do some of them have hearts on them, or look inverted? That's not the only problem though. Everywhere they go, something strange happens the next day. A rabbit drops dead in front of a warrior one day. An herb grows overnight the next. How long before something bad happens?
