Meeting

Firepelt tilted his head back, admiring the bright red tree's leaves. They were small and pointed, but beautiful. He raised up on his hind legs and touched a low hanging leaf with his nose.

[Cedar]

The multi-colored tabby was 'dancing' gracefully from the camp, her mind was on something today, finding a new friend. Though she danced happily, she was hurting. The pain and shock from losing her best friend hadn't left her, and she seemed sad. Dovesong paused and looked to the sky, "Oh, Featherwing, are you watching me?" the young female sighed loudly and continued walking.

She didn't know what coxed her into coming to the scarlett coloured trees today, she just knew that she wanted to. She jumped a top of a branch and smiled. Closing her eyes, she felt content. Then she heard another cat, and jumped down, landing quietly next to him, "Hello,"

Firepelt jumped a little, startled by the she-cat's closeness. "Whoa! You scared me!" he chuckled. He stepped back a little and licked his chest, smoothing a tuft of fur that was sticking out.

[Cedar]

"Oh, uh, sorry," she said, watching as he licked his fur clean. She smirked a bit, but said nothing.

Firepelt saw her smirk from the corner of his eye and looked up, eyes narrowed. "That's not very nice." he pouted, imitating his little sister.

[Cedar]

Dovesong's tail drooped in sadness, "I didn't mean..." she stopped, looking down.

Firepelt felt bad right away. He hadn't meant to make her sad. "Hey, no, it's ok." he said, not really sure how to comfort her. He was really bad at comforting; his sister would know.

[Cedar]

Dovesong smiled a little, "Thanks, I'm Dovesong. What's your name?"

Firepelt relazed a little when she smiled and smiled back. "I'm Firepelt." he said, smiling again.

[Dawnwhisker]

Beyondnight hissed, annoyed. She hated not having an apprentice, for that meant she had to pick all the herbs herself. Scooping up the final root from the soft earth, she turned towards camp, but froze. The sweet-smelling herbs clouded her sense of smell, but she could've sworn she heard voices. Dropping the plants, she softly trotted towards the sound.

[Cedar]

(too lazy to do anything. )
Dovesong smiled at Firepelt, "Nice name," she complemented, purring. She heard another cat coming, though, and turned around to see the medicine cat. "Hi," she mewed nervously.

[Dawnwhisker]

Beyondnight giggled to herself, her freakish eyes dancing with merriment. "I should stop sniffing those herbs..." she said, feeling happy all of a sudden. She swished her tail back and forth, looking at Firepelt and Dovesong.

Firepelt smiled at Dovesong again. "Thanks. Not as pretty as yours though." he said, winking. It was true, he thought her name was really pretty. He looked up when Beyondnight walked up. Once again, her eyes startled him. "Oh, hey Beyondnight!" he said, distracted by her eyes.

[Dawnwhisker]

She walked up and flicked them both on the nose with her tail. "Ah, young love." she said, grinning, although they were older than she was.

[Cedar]

Dovesong smiled shyly at Firepelt, "Thank you," she giggled softly. And then the medicine cat told them, young love. Her eyes widened, and she looked down, "We just met!" she told her, shy.

Firepelt's eyes widened. Love? he thought. He barely knew her. True, she was pretty, but love? He shook his head at Beyondnight. "Oh no, we're just friends." he said, smiling.

[Dawnwhisker]

Beyondnight couldn't help but smile at these two. Twitching her ears, she said, "A Medicine Cat can tell these kind of things." They did look really good together, but the black she-cat was just giving them a hard time--all in her fun.

[Cedar]

Dovesong looked over at Firepelt, what was he thinking? She then looked back at Beyondnight, and shivered a little. "What?"

[Dawnwhisker]

But Beyondnight didn't hear. She was already trotting off in the direction she had left her herbs, humming softly to herself.

Firepelt cocked his head a little to the side. No one had ever said he was "in love" with anyone before, even if he really was. He looked over at Dovesong and saw her watching him. He shrugged. "I have no idea what that was all about." he said, looking away akwardly.
