The darkness overwhelmed me. Fire was burning through the woods as I tried to out run it. Everything in the fire's path was killed, eaten to death. A cat yelped for help and I succumbed to turning around. There, a black cat sparkled blue yelled for help his paw already on fire. I mouthed the words 'I can't' and ran away from the horrible scene. I couldn't help the little apprentice even if I wanted to. I would be risking my own life to try and save him. It was worth it. Finally I couldn't take the guilt so I ran back to where he was and saw him lying on the ground flames approaching him his eyes staring into space. He was dead. Tears came down my eyes. At least he's going to be buried properly. I thought. I grabbed him by the scruff not caring about the flames that were already on him. I ran holding him in my mouth. Flames flew across infront of me and I turned to the right quickly dodging a flaming branch.
"Help...me." A voice came and I spun around knocking the apprentice off. I saw him blink and realized that he wasn't dead, at least not yet.
I grabbed him once more thrusted him on my back and ran dodging flame after flame until I couldn't go anymore. Everywhere was flames left right in front and behind me.
My eyes opened as if I got shocked by a lightening bolt. Sunlight poured into view as I saw the face of a glistening white cat her blue eyes shining on me with a concerned look. "Crystalclear...." I breathed.
"I came as soon as I heard screaming. Are you alright? I was out hunting and..." her words were lost in her mind but I understood.
"I was dreaming."
"Did you have another one of those visions? They're getting worse and worse Waterfall and I don't know how much you can take," I interupted her lecture.
"Crystalclear I don't have control of them. But this one was the worst of them all. I was running away from a fire and a strange black apprentice was burning. I tried to save him but I couldn't because the flames were everywhere...." I looked down at my paws ashamed that I couldn't save the little cat. Even if it wasn't real I felt ashamed.
"We need to tell the leader. Maybe she can help you out maybe the other medicine cats in the other Clans could help. Waterfall I'm worried about you this has never happened before well not this bad." Crystalclear took a few pawsteps forward and drank a little of the pond water.
"Alright. I'll go but I don't think anything is that wrong with me," I sighed realizing that if I didn't get help I would just get worse like Crystalclear had said.
"We'll go in the morning. In the mean time you should just keep yourself busy that way you won't think about it." We walked back to camp, both a nervous wreck.
