Wolfblaze came into the small meadow and happily ran to the center of it. He loved running, but he had been cramped up in camp for a while. It felt good to stretch his legs a bit. He hadn't had an apprentice for a long time, and was happy for the chance to help Junepaw out with her training.

Junepaw laughed to see Wolfblaze run. She padded up to him in th clearing. "What now." Meowed Junepaw. She sat down looking at Wolfblaze exitied.

"Well..." Wolfblaze meowed thoughtfully, "Just show me what you know so far. Attack me." He got ready for her attack, quickly reminding himself to keep his claws in and that she could only see with one eye.

Junepaw stood up she looked at him turning her head back and forth to get him confused. She lunged for his paws trying to attack him from under neath. Keeping her claws sheathed she kept low.

He lept sideways toward the side that she could see and avoided her attack, then lept back at her and tackled her, pinning her to the ground. "That was a good idea, but try to not look where you're headed too much, your eyes gave you away and I knew what you were planning." He got off of her and backed several paces away, "Try again."

"Ok." Junepaw meowed. Instead of waving back and forth she just stood there and watched him. Not moving a muscle, she didn't think it out much. The next thing she knew she sprinted forward and jumped to the side and got him on the left side. She jumped back flicking her tail back and forth waiting to see what he was going to do.

"Very good," he meowed before leaping forward, landing on his back, slamming his paws into her front legs to make her fall. He rolled onto his stomach and stood up, about to pin her down again.

Junepaw saw that coming rolled with the flow when Wolfblaze nocked her off of her feet she jumped right back up and pounced. Cut a little short and landed right in front of his nose. Trying to fighten him or something. She really didn't know.

He jumped back, surprised at how close she had landed to him. Just to see how she would handle it, he rushed past her on the side of her blind eye and attacked her from that side, knowing that real enemies would use that to their advantage.

Junepaw flaten her ears. She hated when people got on her blind side it made her very nervous. Then she tought what if i just closed my eyes when someone got on my blind side and would just use hearing. Closing her eyes she could feel in the ground the vibrations but it was hard to fight like that but if she could just firgue out something. Then she constrated on the ground and felt where Wolfblaze was going to move she flunge her paws at his feet. Trying to nock him over but didn't get enough power and fell to the ground unblacing herself.

He saw her close her eyes and quickly figured out what she was doing. As she tried to knock him over and then fell, he meowed, "That was a good idea, closing your eyes. Do you want to rest a little?"

"Ya. That would be nice." Juepaw huffed. She was trying but just could't get it she sat wondering if there was something wrong with her. She shook her head trying to get that out of her mind. Junepaw look at him wondering what he was thinking at that moment.

He sat down slowly and watched her for a moment, then started to lick the mud off his paws. "You're doing well," he mewed, "You're smart, and that's very important when you're fighting an enemy." He looked at her again, "You understand why I got on your blind side, right?"

"I know why because cats will use that against me. I know what to do I think anyway." Junepaw meowed. She looked back behind her. This is where she sister died. Remembering what happen. Junepaw was luckily to get out alive even though she became blind when doing it. She look at the sky it was still raining. She looked at her pelt and it was full of mud. "I think my mentor doesn't like to take me here is because this is where my sister died and i became blind. I just got too nervous." Junepaw sighed.

He blinked. He didn't know this was where her sister died, and he started feeling guilty. "I'm sorry Junepaw, do you want to leave?" He touched her shoulder with his tail. He found his mind wondering to his parents. They had both died, but he almost never thought about them. He suddenly pricked his ears, hearing something. He looked around.

"No its ok I need to face my fears some time. I'm glad I came here." Junepaw meowed. She looked around then she hear something. "Did you hear that?" Junepaw whispered. Looking around to see where it was coming from. Her ears flaten back not knowing what it was.

He crouched to the ground, nodding. He'd know that sound anywhere. It was the beating of paws on the ground, but not just any paws. This was a heavy creature, bigger than a cat. He looked around, but he couldn't see it through the rain. Then the noise stopped, and there was a howl. "It's a wolf, Junepaw, run!" He leapt to his paws, facing the direction the howl had come from. Memories were flashing through his mind, but he tried to stop thinking.

Junepaw didn't run at first. She just looked at Wolfblaze then narrowed her eye and felt the vibrations in her paws. "Wolfblaze," She meowed. "I'm not running. I'm not going to let you stay here alone." She looked in the rain and facing the drecation the wolf was she felt the fur rise on her back. She didn't move at all and felt it vibrations and could tell they were coming closer. "Its coming closer we should get down wind from it." Junepaw meowed.

"No, Junepaw, you're an apprentice. I can't let you get hurt." He squinted through the rain, and heard another howl, "Nevermind. It's too close and wolves are faster than us. Just stay close to me. And it already knows we're here, it's hunting us." There was more pounding of paws farther away. "There are more of them!" They could hear heavy breathing, and a huge shape was now visible through the rain.

"I have an idea." Junepaw meowed. Seeing the wolves then spoted a tree out of the coner of her eye. She wisphered in Wolfblaze's ear. "There is a tree to the right and the left of us if we go at the same time maybe we could get up the tree and go under the wolves they are bigger than us."
