Ashfeather lay down in her nest and closed her eyes, but she didn't fall asleep, she just thought about Wolfblaze. He had been injured, so had Junepaw. She should have checked to see if the two of them were all right before she left, why hadn't she? She curled up in a tight ball and covered her face with her tail.

Ashfeather leapt to her paws as she heard howling. She at first thought maybe it had been the wind, but her grey fur stood on end as she heard it again. It was right near DarkClan camp. She narrowed her eyes, then hurried out of the den.
