Silentstar followed her and sat down calmly on a rock by the river, curling her tail over her feet, waiting patiently for the Riverclan cats to come.

Silentstar turned slowly to face her. "She's deputy, isn't she?" She replied. "And Tornstar got killed." Her eyes stung a little as she remembered the gentle tom she'd known since she was born.

Silentstar thought for a while before replying. She had seen the tom's expression when he fled. "I'm not sure he meant to. Everyone knows Fireclan have very little clan members, and I think he was trying to keep Tornstar from getting the kits, but accidentaly killed him in the process." She swallowed. "That's the only reason I can think of him killing a cat. I've known him for a while and he's a sweet tom." She added, smiling a little as she remembered the crush she'd had on him when she was a young warrior.
