Wolfshadow sat in a hollow, a starry cat in front of her. The cat smiled and meowed, "Hello, Wolfshadow. My name is Thunderstar. Shadowstar the first leader of Thund-er Fernclan. I have something to tell you.
Many moons ago, four where chosen.
One of shadows, one of wind, one of thunder, and one of the river.
Two went with them, and they found home.
Now the clans are divided,
and it shall happen again.
The four must come, two not invited,
and head for the sunset."
Thunderstar smiled and meowed, "You will find the others at the moonhollow at moonhigh." Then the tom faded and Wolfshadow opened her eyes to find herself in the warriors den.
